Eighteen hundred babies born in
Southland in 2012 were lucky to receive a copy of ‘Stomp’ by Ruth Paul. The
feedback we received about the project from new mothers through our feedback
forms were very positive.
Just this
weekend past we received a feedback form with much writing, bolded print, capitals
used for emphasis, and an abundance of exclamation marks and thanks for the
book and project.
In 2012 we delivered some twin packs to the hospital, with
the current and a previous book in it.
We have even made up a triplets pack.
Some of the left
over books from previous years were donated to the Southland Doctors and Medical Surgeries
for their waiting rooms.
A passionate team of members prepare these books each year with love and the thought of literacy in our future generations encourages their spirits during the tireless days to complete.
